William Thompson Obituary
William A. “Bill” Thompson, 78, of Lee County, GA, died June 1, 2024 at his residence. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 6:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home. Mr. Ronnie Hinson will officiate.
Bill was born in Albany, GA, on August 20, 1945 to William Albert and Annie Lucille Thompson. He graduated from Albany High School in 1963 and served his Country in The United States Air Force. Bill was employed with Georgia Electric, Albany Electric and retired as Vice-President of Metro Power, Inc. in 2017. He enjoyed being at Lake Blackshear, fishing, the Braves, the Falcons and his Garden.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Griffin Thompson, his children, Alan and Lesley Thompson and Shannon and Jamison Noland all of Lee County, GA and his grandchildren, Ally Thompson, Easton Enfinger, Alayna Thompson, Fisher Noland and Marleigh Noland.
