William Umbrell Obituary

Born in Lebanon on August 21, 1953, he was the son of the late William W. and Anna May Moyer Umbrell. He was a graduate of the Lower Dauphin High School Class of 1970. Following high school, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from the Highway Dept. for Cortland County, NY. Following retirement, he moved back to Lebanon County, and he then enjoyed working for Chocolate World. He was a NASCAR fan, and he enjoyed hunting and golfing. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved his dog and best friend, Chaos.
He is survived by his daughters Lorralei L. wife of James Hoerner of Fredericksburg and Trudi R. Umbrell and her companion Efrain Alicea, III, of N. Cornwall; siblings Donald Umbrell of FL, Patsy Pheasant of Grantville, Kenneth Umbrell of Pittsburgh, and Cathy Schall of Hanover; grandchildren Brittny Davis, Saffon Alicea, and Madison Hoerner; and his great grandchildren Avalee, Loriana, Roman and Nayeli.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
