William Uselton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Absolute Economical Funeral Home LLC on Nov. 17, 2025.
William Scott "Scotty" Uselton
March 22, 1960 – November 16, 2025
William Scott "Scotty" Uselton passed away on November 16, 2025, at the age of 65.
Born on March 22, 1960, Scotty was the beloved son of William "Frank" and Willa
Uselton, both of whom preceded him in death. He spent most of his life in Oklahoma
City and, in recent years, made a peaceful home at his parents' farm in
Arcadia-affectionately known as "the farm."
Scotty is survived by his sister, Laurie Matthews, and her husband, Roger; his niece,
Heather Pribble, and her husband, Brett; and his grandniece, Isabelle Poppy Pribble,
who called him "Uncle Cinnamon Roll" after the tradition he started-delivering
cinnamon rolls on Saturday mornings. Scotty called Isabelle by her middle name,
'Poppy,' a tribute to the name Heather called her grandpa, Frank, Scotty's dad.
He was dedicated to his life in the car business, where Scotty worked as a salesman
and later in inventory, where he brought a warm smile and easy humor to everyone he
worked with. Scotty never met a stranger and made friends everywhere he went. He
loved telling stories of his many adventures including OU/Texas weekends, playing golf,
water skiing, noodling with his Uncle Monty, and helping his dad when cows got out at
the farm.
Scotty was known for his wit, some slight mischief, and his willingness to lend a hand.
At family gatherings he could always be counted on-as the expert dishwasher, the one
ready with a joke, or the uncle who never missed sending a birthday card. He carried
himself proudly, and will be remembered wearing a cowboy hat, vest, starched jeans,
boots, and most importantly, a big heart. He had a legendary sweet tooth and never
passed up an opportunity to indulge in any dessert placed before him.
He loved his parents, family and friends deeply and spoke of those in his life with pride.
Scotty leaves behind a family and community who loved him, countless friends who will
forever cherish his stories and laughter, and a grandniece who will always remember
her Uncle Cinnamon Roll.

Every time I´d go to the dealership, I´d look for you. Ready to get my hug. I looked forward to sending you a picture of Shawn and I in the mornings, ready to play our trivia game. We miss you. I miss you. But God called you home because he needed someone to liven up the place! Love you Scotty... until we meet again.

"To a truly special friend - your presence filled every room with warmth, laughter, and kindness. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Thank you for the memories, the guidance, and the love you shared so freely. Your impact will live on in all of us who were blessed to know you. Rest in peace, my friend."
