William “Reed” VanBilliard, age 80, formerly of Hiwassee, VA, passed away on January 10, 2026 in Rockport, TX.
Reed was born on March 3, 1945 in Phillipsburg, NJ, the son of the late James “Earl” VanBilliard, Sr and Ruth Allen VanBilliard. After graduating from Phillipsburg High School in 1963, Reed served in the United States Army, receiving a Purple Heart during his service in the Vietnam War. After serving his country, Reed worked for Banko Beverage Company (Allentown, PA). Reed retired from Farrell Distributing Corporation (Rutland, VT). During his retirement, Reed enjoyed traveling and spending time with his friends in Virginia, Alabama and Texas.
He preceded in death by his brother, James VanBilliard.
Reed is survived by his daughter, Christine VanBilliard Wedo and grandson, Jamie Roy Wedo; sister-in-law, Joanne VanBilliard; nephew, Jim VanBilliard (Sue); niece, Beth Livengood (Bobby); great-nieces, Alexis VanBilliard, Jaclyn VanBilliard, Lauren Livengood Correll (Andrew): great-nephew Mark Livengood.
