Age 91 of Plainwell, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024. Bill was born in Kalamazoo on December 24, 1932, the son of Jess and Jennie (Bosma) VanSparrentak. Bill proudly served his nation in the U.S. Navy. He was married to Juanita Holmes who preceded him in death 2013. The family has many happy memories of eating at Bimbos Pizza together. He also loved going to Salvino's, Plainwell, where he loved to meet friends. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and loved camping and fishing. Bill is survived by his sons, Randy (Laura) VanSparrentak of Greensboro, NC, Greg (Janet) VanSparrentak of Otsego, Brad (Jeri) VanSparrentak of Homosassa, FL, Brenda Pickard of Delton, Mike (Kathy) VanSparrentak of Alamo, Scott (Tammy) VanSparrentak of Amherst OH; dear friend, Sandy Brink and her son, Brian Blaine; seventeen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister in law, Delores VanSparrentak; several nieces and nephews; countless friends. Besides his wife, Bill was preceded in death his parents; sister, Marlene (Jerry) Banks; brothers, Hank VanSparrentak and Ron VanSparrentak; and his first wife, Juanita Mary Zantello.
