Published by Legacy on Jul. 30, 2025.
William J. Varraso ("Bill"), age 72, formerly of Marshfield, MA, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, at the SSM Hospice Home in Monroe, WI, after a courageous year-long battle with lung cancer. Born on June 30, 1952, in Quincy, MA, Bill was the son of Biagio and Mary (Callahan) Varraso. Bill was a loving father and exceptional friend to all who knew him. His loyalty and genuine care for others made him the kind of friend people could always count on. Always willing to help others, he would give the shirt off his own back to anyone in need. His generous spirit and caring nature touched the lives of many throughout his 72 years, and his friendships were treasures that lasted a lifetime. He is survived by his loving daughter, Kasaundra Varraso (Ray Nicholas) of Lena, IL; his grandson, Richard Nicholas; and his sister, Karen Hudson (David) of Longmont, CO. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Dianna; his parents; his brother, Robert Varraso; and his sister, Sandy Daniels. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at a later date. For updates on the memorial service, please reach out to his daughter, Kasaundra Nicholas, on Facebook or through email at [email protected]. A memorial has been established in his name. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.leamonfh.com
