William Webster Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home - Worthington on Jan. 4, 2026.
William P. (Bill) Webster, age 78, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home on January 03, 2026. Born on May 31, 1947 in Delaware, Ohio, he is remembered for his irreverent sense of humor and love of practical jokes.

A 1966 graduate of Linden McKinley High School, he was a proud veteran of Vietnam having served in the United States Army. After serving, Bill married the love of his life, Susan Webster, and they shared 55 wonderful years together.

Bill was a dedicated father and grandfather (Papa) who cherished his time with family. Always the history buff, he enjoyed documentaries and researching historic events, looking after his beloved pets, and helping ensure grandkids got to school and back at the end of day. He so enjoyed hearing about their days and was incredibly proud of each of them.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Webster; sons, William Webster Jr. (Aileen) and Michael Webster (Sherry); grandchildren, Mia, Greer, Kya, Augustine, Ryen, and Miles.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Nationwide Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as both organizations were dear to him.
