William "Billy" Wells Jr., 57, passed away on the morning of October 29, 2025. Billy was a kind, hard-working man with a huge heart who loved his family, sports, and bringing joy to everyone around him. A diehard Ohio State Buckeye, he lived every game day with passion and pride.
He is survived by his loving wife, Corrlina Wells (55); his bestest paw print friend, Sissy; his only son, Cody Wells (32); and his two grandsons, Kobe and Cody Jr., aka Fatdaddy (13 and 5), who were the absolute light of his life. The bond they shared was unbreakable - full of laughter, love, and memories that will live on forever. Billy's face lit up every time he talked about his boys, and the love between them was something truly special.
He also leaves behind his devoted parents, Bill Wells and Patti Wells, blessed to be alive at 81 and 77, and his loving brother and lifelong best friend, John (55), who was like his twin - inseparable and loved tremendously - along with John's children, Calli and Bubby (Jr.). Billy also cherished his many nieces, nephews, and cousins - Darren, Marty, and of course Chelsea; Lisa and Dan; Jackie B; Dwayne and Brandie - all of whom he loved tremendously. Nobody will be forgotten!
He is also survived by his wife Corrlina's brothers, Jackie, Willy, and Johnny, who were a beloved part of his life, as well as all their children: Ashley, Bubby, Johnathon, Steph, Jessie, Libby, and Brandon. Billy also had many close friends, including his neighbors Mike (who passed earlier this year), Jess, and many others who were like family to him. His family and friends were his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them - including everyone in the fantasy football league they've been in for 20 years.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 12 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. in Columbus, OH.
