William Worthy Obituary
William Lee “Hoo Lee” Worthy, age 60, of Clinton, husband of Melinda Pace Worthy, passed away, Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Self Regional Healthcare.
He was born November 4, 1964 in Whitmire, SC, and was the son of the late Robert and Syble King Worthy. Hula was employed at Symtech in Spartanburg for many years and formerly employed by Enoree Mills and Lewis E. Batson. He was an avid golfer and loved watching football.
In addition to his wife of 35 years, Hula is survived by his children, Christopher Worthy of Clinton, Taylor Worthy of Clinton, and Jamie Hughes (Gary) of Gray Court; his sister, Mary Worthy Johnson (James) of Taylorsville, NC; his grandchildren, Eli, Mikah, Luke, and Ayden Hughes.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Whitmire Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Weaver officiating.
