He met and married his wife Kay, they started their family together and decided to move to Va. Beach. Nick then began building houses and Apartments, decided to move his family to Virginia Beach where they were raised. Nick continued building and became involved in the tourist industry. Nick was a pillar of his community always willing to help family, friends and neighbors! Nick was very involved with his friends and business owners hosting the 1st Exchange Club Oyster roast fundraiser in his backyard. The fundraiser grew in popularity and then had to be moved to Camp Pendleton in Va. Beach where it continues to this day and is now known as the Annual YSC fundraiser raising money for local charities. At one time Dad had a dream, he built a farm and tried his luck in the horse business. Nick and Kay later resided part of their time in the golfing community of Naples, Florida where they met and enjoyed many new friends. Nick will be loved and remembered by family and friends for his stories, dry humor and always having something smart to say. He and his wife Kay had many wonderful years together traveling, playing golf and enjoying their family throughout their marriage.
The family wants to give honor and thanks to his devoted caregiver of three years Cindy Naqvi. Also a special thanks to caregivers during his residency at Atlantic Shores and Arden Courts. Nick's wishes were to have a private family service at a later date. In lieu of flowers all memorial donations can be made to: Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. Nick was a neighbor of mine in the Riverview section of Norfolk. We grew up as
teenagers and had some very good times together, along with his brothers, Carlton, Walter and Charlie. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and
may you, my good friend, Nick, enjoy a much better place in Heaven.

Your friend forever,

Ray Christensen
