Willie Ed McDowell

Willie Ed McDowell, age 91 of 209 Grovania Road, Elko, died Sunday,March 16, 2025, at his residence.
Born in Elko, he was the son of the late Walter C. McDowell and Henrietta Bell McDowell. He was a retired truck driver and a Baptist.
Survivors include:
Wife: Mary Ann McDowell of Elko
Son: Ronnie McDowell (Del) of Elko
Daughter: Kathy Etheridge of Elko
Grandchildren: Michael Etheridge, Christopher Etheridge, Brent McDowell (Karen), Dustin McDowell (Sarah), Mikailea McDowell and Camree Steese (Jamie)
Great Grandchildren: Camden, Kensley, Victoria, Tatem and Theo
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Donnie Lee McDowell and Jimmy Ray McDowell and his siblings, Walter "Buddy" McDowell, James R. McDowell, J. W. McDowell, Pauline McDowell, Dolly Streetman and Louise Carter.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, March 20 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home. Interment will follow in First Baptist Church of Haynesville Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 5-7 pm Wednesday, March 19 at the funeral home.
