Johnny R. Moore

Johnny R. Moore, age 73, of 11750 Highway 230 West, Unadilla, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at his residence.

Johnny was born in Montezuma on January 25, 1952, to James Marvin Moore and Marjorie Hambrick Moore.  He was a 1970 graduate of Unadilla High School.  He was a farmer until 1986, at which time he began working at Delta Equipment.  At Delta, his co-workers became like family.  He never met a stranger and was a loyal employee.  Johnny loved working on tractors and lawnmowers and there was nothing he couldn't fix.  Johnny was a faithful member of Unadilla Methodist Church.

Wife of 53 years:  Marcia Maples Moore

Daughter:  Tara Bell (Shane) of Dawson

Son:  Jonathan Moore (Meagan) of Williamson

Mother:  Marjorie Moore of Perry

Sister:  Sheryl Jones of Perry

Grandchildren:  
Molly Bell of Saint Simons Island
Rhett Bell of Dawson
Madelyn Moore of Williamson
McCall Moore of Williamson

He was preceded in death by his father, James Marvin Moore; his brother, James Marvin "Jimmy" Moore, Jr.; his grandparents, Calvin and Ione Moore and Abner and Agnes Hambrick.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, December 2 in Unadilla Methodist Church.

The family will greet friends 12 - 2 PM Tuesday, December 2 in the Mary Murray Sunday School Classroom at the church.
