He honorably and faithfully served in the United States Navy during WWII, where he was aboard the U.S.S. Texas. He was a member of Calvary Bible Church, and earlier in life, he owned and operated Breon's garage in Yeagertown for many years. Outside of his work, he enjoyed the thrill of racing cars and flying airplanes, and had a passion for woodworking, and crafting beautiful pieces of furniture.
