Willis Floyd "Flee Dogg" Durley

Willis Floyd Durley Aka "Flee Dogg" was born on October 8, 1957, to David Durley Sr. and Jewel Burks-Durley in Amarillo, Texas. He was the third oldest of eleven children. Floyd attended Robert E. Lee Elementary, Horace Mann Middle School and Palo Duro High School. He worked with Van Line Moving Company, City of Amarillo, and George's Moving Company until his health began to decline.
Floyd was a jokester with a huge loving heart. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. When Floyd entered anyone's home, a comedian show was about to begin. The day before he went to home-hospice, he was sitting on the side of the hospital bed, he wanted to lay down. He pushed the call button and when the nurse answered, Floyd said "I have fallen and can't get up", then looked at us and said, "that's how you get help quickly." Despite the pain he endured, he kept smiling to be strong for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Durley Sr. and Jewel Burks-Durley; wife, Patricia Durley; son, Ulysses Aka. "Hotshot"; brothers, David Durley Jr., Lawance Dale, Richard Durley and grandson Shawndre Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memories wife, Cheryl; two daughters, Tequlia and Felicia; two sons, James Aka, "Fat Daddy" (Faith) and Floyd Durley Jr. Aka. "Boobe" (Linda); three brothers Jan (Tammy), Erral and Terry Durley; four sisters DeLois "Lola" Adediran (Larry), Ollie Durley, Sherry Jones and Lenora Moore (Gerry); fifteen grandchildren; a very close friend of the family, Shirley Hawthorne RN, who was his patient advocate, representing Floyd and his family medically at appointments and hospital stays; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
