Willis Ridley Haney better known as Bud Haney was born August 6, 1950 in Jackson County, TN and he passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Signature Healthcare of Putnam County at the age of 72. Bud was the son of Virgil Lee Haney and Addie B. Hammock Haney. He was a farmer and a retired employee of Institutional Wholesale Company in Cookeville for over 30 years. He was a member of the Cummins Mill Baptist Church. Mr. Haney was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Millis Ronnie Haney, Jessie Lee Haney and Bobby Ree Haney, paternal grandparents, Willis and Parazetta Haney, maternal grandparents, Ridley and Nevada Hammock. Survivors include two sons Sherman (Sharon) Haney and Jr. Haney both of Cookeville; brother, David Haney of Cookeville and four sisters, Reba Taylor of Cookeville, Edna Fox of Bloomington Springs, Geneva Smallwood of Cookeville and Juanita Rhoten of Bloomington Springs and a grandchild, Johnathan Haney of Cookeville. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 2 pm at John Young Cemetery in the Shiloh Community. Bro. Bill Haney will officiate the service. Mr. Haney wishes were to have no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the John Young Cemetery by contacting the funeral home. Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro in charge of arrangements. 931-268-1550
