Funeral services for Willis Hollman age 84 of
Wisner, NE will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in
Wisner, NE with Pastor Jared Hartman officiating. Interment will be in the Wisner Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. The Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner is assisting the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be directed to Wisner Fire and Rescue, St. Paul Lutheran Annual Mission Project Scholarship for Camp Luther, Orphan Grain Train, LWML, or a charity of your choosing.
Willis passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, NE.
Willis Dean Hollman son of Frederick and Nora (Rabbass) Hollman was born August 10, 1939 at Beemer, NE. He was baptized on September 10, 1939 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in
Wisner, NE by Rev. G.A. Zoch and later confirmed on March 29, 1953 by Rev. O.E. Schlecht, his confirmation verse was Matthew 6:33. Willis attended Wisner Elementary and High School, graduating in 1957. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving 6 months active duty and 4 years reserve duty and camp. He attended Milford Trade School in 1960-1961 and was employed at Dale Electronics in Columbus, NE as an electronic technician.
Willis was united in marriage to Lorna Labs on June 3, 1962 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Altona, NE. In 1965, they moved to Wisner and purchased Degner Electric. Willis was active in the Wisner Volunteer Fire Department from March of 1966 until July of 2007 (41 years) serving as President, Treasurer, Assistant Chief, and Chief. He also served as president of the Wisner Chamber of Commerce. Willis was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, serving on the Finance Board, and as President and Treasurer. After retiring he spent time in his woodshop making Intarsia pictures. Willis and Lorna enjoyed trips to South Africa, China, Russia and The Holy Land, along with several trips in the US with the Altona group.

Willis was preceded in death by his parents-Frederick and Nora Hollman, brother-Lyle Hollman, and a niece Lori Ruskamp.
