Leetonia - Willis "Jimmy" Roller, Jr., age 61, of Leetonia, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at his home in Leetonia.
He was born on January 25, 1964, in Salem, the son of the late Willis and Dorothy Altomare Roller.
Jimmy was a proud graduate of Leetonia High School and carved out his career working for R.L. Lipton Distribution Co. as a sales manager. He belonged to several clubs in his community, including the Leetonia ITAM, Leetonia American Legion Post #131, Washingtonville VFW Post #5532 and the Valley Golf Club Thursday league. Jimmy was a friend to everyone. He loved having a good time and enjoyed socializing with his friends. Jimmy would often be seen with a smile on his face and a cold Bud Light in his hand. He loved sports and was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. Mostly, he will be remembered as a devoted father. He loved his children and supported them in all of their school activities and sports. He coached both his son’s football, baseball and basketball teams and cheered on his daughter’s cheerleading squad. Jimmy was a great friend, brother and father who will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Jimmy is survived by his beloved children, Nick, Cameron and Delaney Roller, all of Leetonia; two sisters, LuAnn (Edward) Ayers of Salem and Cathy (Randy) Selway of Leetonia; his beloved friend, Heather Rohrer of Leetonia, with whom he raised his three children; many nieces and nephews, as well as his extended family and close friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia. The family is requesting that everyone please wear their Buckeye gear in memory of Jimmy and in support of Saturday’s game.
Private family services will be held at a later time.
Jimmy will be laid to rest with his parents at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Leetonia.
The family request that any donations made in Jimmy’s memory, please be made to his children to support their future.
