Willis James Reynolds, age 79, of Corbin, KY, passed away at home on Monday, June 2, 2025.
Born April 26, 1946, Willis lived a fulfilling life, seasoned with laughter, love, and unyielding support for his beloved family. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for biking and games like cornhole, horseshoes, checkers, and pool. He often downplayed his skills, but those who knew him knew better. Willis was a gifted woodworker, his hands bringing to life creations from birdhouses to picnic tables. He could fix anything and never hesitated to offer a helping hand to a friend in need. His commitment to his church, Echo Valley Voice of the Nazarene, his deep love for his family, and his unwavering support for his children were the pillars of his life.
Willis is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Bessie Reynolds, and his brothers, Arlis and Bill Reynolds.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Mallott Reynolds; children, Tresa Matney (Edward), Sheila Shifflet (Wade), Diane Kerr (Melvin), Willis Reynolds Jr. (Jessica), and Eric Reynolds (Ashley); 19 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Frances Valentine, Ruby Martin, Lester Reynolds, Marie Keith, and Roy Reynolds Jr.; and by the mother of his children, Lillie Dye Reynolds.
Visitation for Willis Reynolds will be held from 12-2 pm on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Echo Valley Voice of the Nazarene, where his funeral service will follow at 2 pm.
Burial will follow at Hart Cemetery in Corbin, KY. Pallbearers will be Wade Shifflet, Zachary Shifflet, Bryan Terrell, Jordan Terrell, Melvin Kerr Jr., and Eric Reynolds.
