Wilma G. Barrentine, 97, of Graceville entered her Heavenly home on December 19, 2024.
Mrs. Wilma was born in Magnus, Arkansas on December 3, 1927, to the late David Garner and Grace Moxley Garner. A graduate and Valedictorian of her class from Magnus High School, where she lettered in basketball. Mrs. Wilma became a "Rosie the Riveter" at the nearby airfield during World War II where she met the love her life. She was a beautician for many years. She and her family retired in Graceville becoming long time members of the First Assembly of God Church. Known affectionately as "Sister Barrentine", she was a prayer warrior and a true living woman of Faith.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles Barrentine, three children Jerry, Steve and Karen.
Survived by her devoted children Michael "Mike" Barrentine and wife Paulette, Gregory "Greg" Barrentine, eight grandchildren Rosalynn, Josh, Lindsey, Brandy, Crystal, Sarah, Jeremy, Jacob; six great grandchildren Olivia, Darcie, Dolan, Kaeleigh, A.J., Aubrie, brother Sonny Garner and wife Helen a host of nieces and nephews.
A Home-going service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the chapel of James & Lipford Funeral Home with Bro. James Watford officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Cottondale, Florida with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.
Family will receive friends Saturday, 10 a.m. until time of the service.

So sorry to hear of Sister Barrentine's passing. She was my Sunday school teacher when I was a teenager. She was a blessing to me and many others, a faithful woman of God. Heaven has received another angel.
