Wilma Berly Cooper, 96, of Boynton Beach, FL and Hull, MA, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025 in her Florida home. Born on February 21, 1929, in Boston, Massachusetts, Wilma was the daughter of Barney and Sara Zarakov. She graduated from Medford High School in 1946 and went on to earn her degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1950. On March 18, 1950, she married the love of her life, Saul Cooper. Together, they raised four children - sons Richard (Bonnie) and Jerald (Cecilia), and daughters Daryl J. Cooper and Jane Tenaglia (Rocky) - in Hull, Massachusetts. Following their years in Hull, Wilma and Saul embarked on an adventure abroad, spending five years in India where Saul worked with the United Nations and Wilma took up yoga, which became a lifelog passion. Upon returning to the U.S., they became "snowbirds," enjoying winters in Boynton Beach, Florida, and summers back in Hull. Eventually, they made Boynton Beach their permanent home. Wilma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her four children, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, her sister Judith Wertheimer, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Saul Cooper, and her brother Stanley Zarakov. In place of flowers, donations in Wilma's memory may be made to the Hospice of Palm Beach County https://trustbridge.com/give/. Services will be private.
