Wilma Fern (Boswell) Weaver was born on June 27, 1934, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, to Reverend Albert Lee and Marie Laura (Kern) Boswell. She departed this life on Monday, July 28, 2025, in Salina, Oklahoma, at the age of 91 years, 1 month, and 1 day.

Wilma was raised in the Locust Grove area and graduated as Valedictorian from Locust Grove High School with the Class of 1952. On October 1, 1953, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Hurmon Lee Weaver, in Pryor, Oklahoma. Together they shared more than 32 years of marriage and were blessed with four children: Randall, Alan, Kelly and Glenn "Scott". Hurmon preceded her in death on January 1, 1986.

A devoted Christian throughout her life, Wilma was raised in the Free Will Baptist Church and later became a faithful member of Word Fellowship Church in Locust Grove. Her love for the Lord was evident in all she did. Wilma was a loving wife, a dedicated homemaker, and an exceptional mother who poured her heart into caring for her family. She and Hurmon lived most of their lives in Locust Grove, though they traveled often due to his work in construction.

Wilma was also known for her home cooking. For many years, she lovingly prepared the same favorite meal six nights a week: pork chops, beans, fried potatoes, gravy, and biscuits - Hurmon's favorite. Her consistency and care in preparing that meal became a cherished part of their family routine.

Wilma is survived by: 3 sons: Randall Weaver and wife Donna of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Alan Weaver and wife Sheri of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, and Glenn "Scott" Weaver of Rudy, Arkansas; Grandchildren: Heath and wife Julie Young – Weaver, Kyle Weaver, Brett and wife Heather Weaver, Jillian Willyard and husband James, Ashley Weaver, Kacey Cooper, Jeff Weaver and wife Chelsea, and Chloe Weaver and husband Adonis Weaver; Great grandchildren: Jozie Weaver, Brooklyn Weaver, Thomas Flavin, Keaton Willyard, Kamree Willyard, Kyzlee Willyard, Daley Weaver, Marley Weaver, Brady Weaver, and Waylon Cooper, Kingston Weaver, Blair Weaver; 1 sister: Blanche Compton of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Wilma was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; 1 daughter: Kelly Dian Williams; 1 grandson: Chad Weaver; 3 brothers: Bill, Edgar, and Delbert; and 4 Sisters: Gertie, Maggie, Jean and Nellie.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 1, 2025, at the Hogan Cemetery in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Brother Bob Bewley will officiate. Services have been entrusted to Locust Grove Funeral Home.

I am so sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers for the whole family. I loved going to Aunt Fern's. Her home was so welcoming. If she knew we were coming she would always prepare a nice meal. She was a great cook. Always happy and she laughed a lot. She truly loved the lord. She will be missed. God bless you all.
