Bobby Joe Morrison, Jr. Jr.

Bobby Joe Morrison, Jr. was born on May 17, 1956, in Pryor, Oklahoma, to Bobby Joe Morrison, Sr. and Rhoda Jane (Adams) Morrison. Surrounded by his loving family, Bobby entered his heavenly home on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at his residence in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, at the age of 69 years, 2 month, and 5 days.

Bobby was raised in the Locust Grove area, where he attended school and made lifelong memories. In ninth grade, he met the love of his life, Ramona Sue Merrell. The two were married on June 3, 1978, at Locust Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Their love story, which included a honeymoon where family members followed them and ended with bologna sandwiches, was filled with joy, laughter, and devotion. Together, they raised two children, Micah and Charity, and shared more than 47 wonderful years of marriage.

A hardworking and dedicated man, Bobby held various positions throughout his life. He worked at Whitaker State Children's Home, Mayes County District 3, Jess Dunn Correctional Center, the Town of Locust Grove, and Overhead Door in Tulsa. In 2021, he retired as the Grounds Chief for Locust Grove Public Schools. Bobby was a man of faith and attended Little Rock Free Will Baptist Church.

Bobby had a passion for hot rods and trains and was a founding member and former Vice President of the Outlaw Cruisers Car Club. He took great pride in caring for his home and property and especially cherished the opportunity to maintain the memorial honoring his father at the B&M Train and Locomotive Depot. A true craftsman and jack-of-all-trades, Bobby was known for his kindness, thoughtfulness, and deep love for his family and friends. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandpa, and friend who gave his heart fully to those he loved.

Bobby is survived by: His wife, Ramona, of the home; 1 son: Micah Joe Morrison and wife Kendall; 1 daughter: Charity Marie Levings and husband Mark; 6 grandchildren: Carly Jo Morrison, Corbin Morrison, Ty Levings, Ryker Levings, Rynlee Levings and Brecklee Levings; 1 sister: Harriet Byrum; And 1 sister-in-law: Rita Merrell, all of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, July 26, 2025, at the Little Rock Free Will Baptist Church near Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Rick Condit will officiate.
