Demitrius Cantrell "Deedy" Weaver

Demitrius "Deedy" Cantrell Weaver was born on May 23, 1966, to the union of the late Albert Spencer Weaver and the late Sylvia Bridgewater; he entered eternal rest on July 28, 2025. He is survived by 3 brothers–Albert (Sherry) and Ignatius (Belinda) Weaver, and Harry (Meghan) Bridgewater; 1 sister–Dquawaii (Percy) Green; a devoted stepfather–Harry Holland; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents– Albert Spencer Weaver and Sylvia Bridgewater; 2 brothers–Rene Weaver and Gerald Bridgewater; 1 nephew–Terrell Weaver; 2 grandmothers–Melvina Bridgewater and Albertine Weaver; and 2 grandfathers–Landry Bridgewater and Matthew Weaver. Friends and family are invited to the "Celebration of Life and Love" service on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at 2nd Mount Bethel Baptist Church, 2525 Daneel Street, New Orleans, LA 70113.
Pastor Quinton Washington will officiate.
