It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wilma G. Yoder, 94, on March 3, 2025.
Wilma was born on November 15, 1930, to Jonas and Katie (Miller) Gingerich in Plain City, Ohio. She married the love of her life, Mose J. Yoder, and together they had three children: Regina, Candy, and Jeff.
Raised as a little Amish girl, Wilma grew up to become a fashionista. She had a natural gift for numbers, which was invaluable in managing the family farm. Wilma loved southern gospel music, shopping, winters in Florida, mowing her lawn, and socializing with friends and family. She was an incredible cook and found joy in having friends and family gathered around her kitchen table, sharing food, stories, and laughter.
Wilma will be remembered for her selfless generosity and unshakable resilience. She was a woman of faith and a longtime member of Sharon Mennonite Church in Plain City, Ohio.
An amazing reunion is happening at the pearly gates. Awaiting her there are her beloved husband, Mose Yoder; her parents, Jonas and Katie Gingerich; her grandson, Zach George; and her siblings: Edna Troyer, Bertha Mullet, Sue Yoder, John Gingerich, Mary Hostetler, Dan Gingerich, Al Gingerich, Ada Kuhns, William Gingerich, and Freeman Gingerich. She is also greeted by her half-brothers, Abraham, David, and Christie Gingerich.
Wilma will be forever loved and missed by her children: Regina George, Candy (Rick) Griest, and Jeff (Lisa) Yoder; and her grandchildren: Brandon George, Kaylee Griest, Kodie Griest, and Shelby Bickler.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Zusman Hospice and Dublin Glenn Memory Care for their kindness and loving care of our mom.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sharon Mennonite Church. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Sharon Mennonite Church, 7675 Amity Pike, Plain City, OH 43064. Pastor Walter Campbell will be presiding.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Daily Needs Assistance, 7675 Amity Pike, Plain City, OH 43064, in Wilma's memory.
