Winfred Cook, age 82 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Cumberland County Hospital. Winfred was born on October 06, 1942 in Seco, Kentucky to the late James Arbor Cook and Bertha Amburgy Cook. He was a longtime employee of Cumberland Valley Manor and in later years worked for Up the Creek Winery. Winfred loved fishing and enjoyed playing Santa Claus for many years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Thrasher Cook, two brothers Kenneth Cook and Charles Cook, and one sister Velma Short.

Survivors Include:
One Son- James Timothy Cook(Ada) of Bowling Green, KY
One Daughter- Chanda Leigh Scott(Allen) of Burkesville, KY
Five Grandchildren- Fernando, Marvin(Jocelyn), Berni, Amy(Bradley),and Alanna(Connor)
Eleven Great Grandchildren- Evelyn, Joseph, Esther, Liam, Adian, Judith, Alejandra, Kaleb, Brenna, Jenna, and Kaylor
One Brother- Wesley Cook of Celina, TN
One Sister- Emelene Roach of Celina, TN
and a host of other relatives and friends

Funeral Service:
Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Dutch Creek Cemetery.

Family requests visitation on Tuesday, September 16th from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. and on Wednesday, September 17th from 6 A.M. until time for the service at 1 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home
