It is with an abundance of love in our hearts that we say our goodbyes to Winnie Mae Lyons, who passed away from this life on December 10, 2024, at the age of 86. She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on January 29, 1938, to her proud parents, Velma and Leroy Jones.
Winnie married Arvel L. Lyons July 5, 1957. With their union came three children, Ronnie, Teri, and Richie. Winnie and Arvel loved going to auctions. They also enjoyed traveling and adored their family! After their marriage, they moved to Texas where they raised all three of their children, and where Winnie worked as the church secretary and daycare director. They moved back to their home in Oklahoma City in 1982.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arvel, and her son Ronnie. Winnie is survived by two children, daughter Teri, and son Richie and his wife Kathy, as well as her daughter-in-law, Rhenda. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren – Travis and wife Krista, Meghan and husband David, David and wife Staci, Cherish and husband Scott, Kandi and partner Nat, Chris, Katie, Josh, Avery, Lily, and Jesse; 11 great-grandchildren Hunter, Blake, Braxton, Wesley, Brooke, Sheila, Skylar, Shaley, Isla, Aralynn, and Zoë; along with three sisters Barbara, Earlene, and Billie.
