Xit This Pham, 76, passed away after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Born on April 7, 1949, in Da Nang, Vietnam. Xit was the second eldest daughter of Tinh Pham and Xanh Phan.
In 1992, Xit immigrated to Boston, Massachusetts with her three children and then-husband, later welcoming her youngest child into the family. She built a lift rooted in resilience, love, and unwavering dedication to those she cared for.
Xit was a proud small business owner and a trailblazer in her community. For many years, she owned and operated a nail salon in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she built lasting relationships with her clients and mentored others in the industry. Her work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and warm presence made her salon a welcoming space for many.
She was known for her gentle heart, infectious laughter and unmistakable sense of style - especially her love for steak and fur coats. A familiar and beloved presence along Dorchester Ave, she could often be found chatting with her friends at local businesses and spreading joy wherever she went.
Xit was a devoted grandmother to Mila, Rocco, Lana and Kaia, always arriving with food in hand and a mischievous willingness to share soda and candy, much to the amusement (and occasional dismay) of their parents. Her life was a testament to strength and sacrifice. She helped her four younger siblings and later raised four children as a single mother, navigating life's challenges with grit, grace and unbreakable spirit.
She is survived by her four children and their families: Quy n Bao Nguy n, her husband Nick Tran, Long Bao Nguyen, his wife Lillie Nguyen, and their children Mila, Rocco, Lana and Kaia, Dung Thong Nguy n, his wife Linda Ton and Candace Hung Nguy n.
She is also survived by her sister Xet Thi Pham and her family, her brother Ngoc Pham and his family as well as her sister Lien Thi Pham and her family. Xit leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and resilience. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 5-8 pm at the McHoul Family Funeral Home, 354 Adams Street, Dorchester, Massachusetts. The funeral service will take place the following morning, Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 9:00 am at the same location. Interment will be at Plain Street Cemetery in Braintree at 10:00 am.
In the spirit of celebrating Xit's life, we invite you to share your memories and upload photos to her memorial page. As we gather to remember Xit, let us honor her life by holding her close in our hearts and sharing the stories that made her the incredible woman she was.

The Wood family, 5 kids all grew up in Easton,Ma. Three of us passed away in the last 6 years and now 2 of us are left,
Peg and Butch. Pham befriended our brother Larry, who passed away almost 5 years ago. Pham became like a sister and when we all got together we enjoyed her being the wonderful person we will all remember so fondly.
