It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, Yolanda Lou Ferguson (Keefer), of Columbus Ohio, who departed this life on 04/11/2025 at the age of 48.
Born on 07/16/1976, Yolanda was a beacon of love, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family. She spent her life nurturing and guiding her eight children, instilling in them the values of compassion, resilience, and kindness. Her love knew no bounds, and her home was a sanctuary filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional support.
Yolanda was not only a devoted mother but also a proud grandmother to ten beautiful grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride. Her legacy lives on in their smiles, their stories, and the love they continue to share with the world.
She is preceded in death by her mother Wilma Smith, her father George Keefer, and step-father Vinton Smith.
She is survived by her loving husband, Shawn Michael Ferguson, her eight children, Cody Chew(Jack Scott), James Chew, Samantha Ferguson(Christopher Hall),Shawn Ferguson II(Ashley Jarvis), Katherine Ferguson(Cody Charles), Brooklyn O’Connor(Matthew Yates), Alyssa Ferguson, William O’Connor III, her ten cherished grandchildren and her eight brothers and sisters. She also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends whose lives were enriched by her presence.
Yolanda will be remembered for her loving spirit, her boundless generosity, and the incredible strength she showed throughout her life. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that her love continues to surround us.
Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Memorial service will take place at 3:30pm.
