Young Shim Kim, born on September 1, 1936, in the Republic of Korea, passed away on November 1, 2025, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. A dedicated professional in the health and human services industry, Young earned her Master's Degree from the University of Vermont in Pharmacology and went on to become a certified dietitian specializing in Diabetes Care and Prevention, as well as Dialysis Protocols. Her commitment to enhancing the well-being of others was evident in her work and the lives she touched throughout her career.
Young was a passionate homemaker who derived immense joy from cooking and sewing. She was a devoted wife and mother, and enjoyed the company of her dog, Brownie, and cat, Lottie.
Young is survived by her son Clement Kim. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her, and her legacy of love, service, and dedication to family will not be forgotten.
Young was preceded in death by: Ryu Lee (Father) and Kei Ok (mother)
