Yuchun He, born December 10, 1950, in Beijing, China, was 73 years of age at this time of passing. On July 17, 2024, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at around the time of 12:40 PM, surrounded by family and friends, she ended her worldly labor and rested in the Lord's embrace. Yuchun spent the majority of her life working as a middle school Chinese teacher and became a core member of the Question-Setting Committee for the High School Entrance Exam in Beijing. She was also a longtime member of the South Baton Rouge Church of Christ. Yuchun loved cooking, especially the dishes cherished by her loved ones, watching cooking shows, shopping for kitchen gadgets, hosting gatherings of family and friends, and traveling. When she was not doing those things, a few games of spider solitaire were always welcome. She is a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. Yuchun is survived by her husband of 52 years, Yuxian Liu, daughter and son-in-law Zhe Liu and Le Yan, grandchildren Isabella and Brandon Yan, sister Yuqiu He, brother Yuqing He, niece and nephew Ying He and Matt Duhon.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Silan Chen and Liansheng He, and her beloved daughter, Tao Liu.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and on Monday, July 22, 2024, at South Baton Rouge Church of Christ, 8725 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
