Yvonne Montague Eldridge

Indianapolis - Yvonne Montague Eldridge, 74, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 29, 2022. She was born July 25, 1947 in Indianapolis to the late Robert Montague and Deloris Farley Taylor. She was a 1964 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School. She also earned a degree in business from Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana. She was employed by the State of Indiana where she served in the Department of Children and Families. Her hobbies included gardening, fishing and cooking. Additionally, she loved shopping and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Eldridge was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lloyd L. Eldridge, Sr. and her parents, Robert Montague and Deloris Farley Taylor. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Lloyd L. Eldridge, Jr. and his wife, Angela and Tyrone M. Eldridge, Sr. and his wife, Lisa.; grandchildren: Tiana Eldridge, Antoinette Cowherd, Tyrone M. Eldridge, Jr., Shaniequa Green and her husband, Cory and Mary Mack and her wife, Nicole; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and many other loving family members and dear friends.
Mrs. Eldridge's family will receive friends Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 11 am – 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will follow at 1 pm with Pastor Erving J. Webster officiating. A committal service will be conducted at New Crown Cemetery, 2101 Churchman Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46203.
