Yvonne Marie Schulz

Yvonne Marie Schulz, of Shoreview, passed away in her home on Monday, October 27, 2025 at the age of 90.
Yvonne was born July 11, 1935 in Rusheba Township to Albert and Helen Anderson and was baptized and confirmed at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Rush City. She was a Home Coming Queen and graduated Rush City High School on May 28, 1953.
Yvonne moved to St. Paul to attend the Rasmussen Business School in 1954 to brush up on her secretarial skills but soon left school to marry her sweetheart Bill Schulz on April 16, 1955. She went to work for General Mills until they decided to start a family and move to Burnsville in 1963. It was here they spent the next 50 years raising their two children and making many life-long friends. She returned to the workforce in 1981 going to work for Dayton's in Burnsville at the Men's Fragrance counter for the next 20 years. Her grandmother and aunt had also worked for Dayton's for many years making her a third-generation employee. Yvonne was also a volunteer for the Fairview Ridges Hospital Guild.
Yvonne enjoyed cooking, entertaining, golf, playing cards, gardening with Bill and most of all her family. She always made sure the family was together for holidays, birthdays and all family milestones, large and small. Yvonne and Bill celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary last April and to see the joy in their hearts you would have thought they were getting married all over again... a true love story. They enjoyed traveling and made numerous trips throughout the years with family and friends and spent 20+ years wintering in Florida.
Yvonne is survived by her children; daughter Beth (Scott) Durbahn; son Kevin (Gina Kubista) Schulz; grandchildren Blake (Caroline) Durbahn, Brittany Durbahn; great grandchild Sophia Durbahn; sister Sue (Mike) Griffin and many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents Albert and Helen Anderson; sisters Clarice Nelson and Sharon Sandstrom; mother and father in-law Oscar and Anna Schulz; brother in-law Wallace; 5 sisters in-law, Mary Louise, Laura, Clarabelle, Eva Jane and Ilene; 3 nephews and many friends.
We find comfort in knowing that Mom's legacy lives on through the lessons she taught us, the love she shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
