Yvonne Renee Hisel-Venable, age 59 widow of James Harvey Venable born February 3, 1966, to the late Ray Hisel and the late Bernice Abner Hisel. She was and forever will be a planter of beauty, a keeper of light, a hearth in winter, a garden in full, wild bloom.
Her life was a living sanctuary, a place where love was planted daily, watered with kindness, and allowed to grow without condition. At her table, every seat was a place of belonging. Through every meal served with hands open wide, she nourished not just bodies but spirits. No one left Renee's home unseen, and no heart left untouched.
She found kinship not only with family & friends, but with the natural world. Flowers flourished under her care, hummingbirds returned year after year to taste the sweetness she prepared, and even the squirrels and rabbits paused to partake in the gentle abundance she offered. Nature bloomed in her presence because she understood its quiet language: patience, love, wonder, tenderness, resilience.
She moved through life with a rare kind of grace: gentle but fiercely rooted, independent yet endlessly giving, soft in spirit but unyielding in light. Music filled the unseen spaces of her days, a melody she carried within herself, lifting ordinary moments into something sacred. Her independence was not hardened, it was woven with compassion, a strength that stood tall without ever closing her heart to the world.
From her porch swing, Renee watched the world she had nurtured with a quiet smile, birds eating, flowers dancing, life unfolding, all under the shelter of the love she had built.
Renee was a wonderful & loving mother, sister, friend, soul. She was and will always be a mender of loneliness, a builder of love & belonging, a weaver of hope, a lantern in the dark. She leaves behind not emptiness, but a trail of glowing lights, each one placed gently into the hands of those who knew her, so that they might find their way in the world a little easier, a little warmer, and a little more loved.
Renee was her daughter, April Venable, best friend. Renees love was constant, steady, and unconditional. She never stopped supporting, encouraging, and reminding April of her worth. Renee's presence was her safe place, Renee's laughter her light, and Renee's guidance Aprils compass. The bond they shared was more than mother and child, it was the truest friendship, built on love that never wavered and will never fade.
She is not gone, she is growing in every flower garden she once tended, rocking in every porch swing in the late afternoon sun, and flickering in every lantern that keeps the night a little less dark. She has only transformed. She has only changed seasons. And the world will keep blooming because her legacy & spirit will forever remain.
Other than her daughter April, Renee is survived by, one sister, Erma Hisel Isaacs and her husband Donald, and her brother Gordon Hisel all of Jackson County. Two grandchildren also survive, Ausitn and Amber Venable. She was also preceded by one brother, Esco Hisel.
