Zach united in marriage to Cheryl Ann Flanagan in Dallas, Texas June 25, 1985. Together, they have one son, Branon Dijuan Gilbert. Zach worked at Bank of America for 43 years, where he mentored many people. Zach later moved his church membership to Westside Baptist Church of Lewisville, Texas.
