Zachary Todd Rinehart

Zachary Todd Rinehart, 36-year-old Vinita resident, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, near Miami on the Will Rogers Turnpike. He was born on December 22, 1988, in Miami, Oklahoma. Zac was a graduate of Chelsea High School. After graduating he went in the United States Army, serving his country for six years. Zac married Daniella Brianne (Buchanan) on January 17, 2015, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He had worked with the Big Cabin and Chelsea Fire Departments and was currently with the Vinita Fire Department, and also served on the Craig County Search and Rescue Team. He went to work for the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority a couple of years ago as a heavy equipment operator. Zac coached T-ball and soccer, loved to go duck hunting and being in the outdoors. He also loved watching OSU Cowboy football, checking out market place on Facebook for the latest bargain, collecting duck calls, local brews, Carhart and Yeti containers. Most of all he loved his family, and being with them.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Martha Mason, and grandfather Melvin Rinehart.
The family includes his wife Daniella of the home; his three children, Westyn Rinehart, Rose and Ryver Rinehart all of Vinita; his parents, Jeff and Lynda Rinehart of Cleora, grandmother, Karen Wolff and husband Lary of Caldwell, Kansas; grandfather, Melvin Mason; his siblings, Mason Rinehart and Alexandria Rinehart both of Cleora; nephew, Channing Rinehart; numerous other relatives, co-workers and friends, also his trusted and loving service dog "Rainey".
Casket bearers will be Rece Briley, Trent Hill, Albert Negrete, Jose Villalpando, Travis Jinkens, and George Perritt.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral Home in Vinita.
The celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Craig County Fairgrounds Community Center in Vinita, Pastor Bob Whitchurch will officiate the service.
