Zack Marshall Knight Jr.

Zack Marshall Knight, Jr., age 71, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025.

Born on March 30, 1971, in Columbus, South Carolina, Zack was the beloved son of Zack Knight, Sr. and the late Bobbie Knight.

As the son of a U.S. Army servicemember, Zack spent his formative years in Texas, Germany, and Italy. He graduated from Vicenza American High School in Vicenza, Italy-a place he held dear throughout his life for the enduring friendships and cherished memories he made there.

Upon returning to Texas, Zack pursued his passion for design and architecture, earning his degree from Texas Tech University. He went on to build a successful career in architecture, guided by the values of integrity, dedication, and hard work.

Zack was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and loyal friend. He found joy in the outdoors-especially hunting and fishing-and later developed a passion for competitive rifle shooting, a sport in which he not only excelled but also formed meaningful connections with others who shared his enthusiasm.

Known for his kindness, honesty, and unwavering work ethic, Zack touched countless lives both professionally and personally. His generous spirit and caring nature will be remembered by all who knew him.

Zack was preceded in death by his mother, Bobbie Knight, and his sister, Melissa. He is survived by his loving wife, Elisha Tompkins; son, Dylan Knight, and Dylan's fiancée, Whitney Winkler; Elisha's children; his father, Zack Knight, Sr.; as well as many aunts, cousins, and extended family members who loved him deeply and will miss him dearly.

At this time, there will be no formal visitation or service.
