Zadie Mae Gaffey, 78, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born January 27, 1946 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Raymond and Gracie Beasley Palmer. Zadie was co-owner of Ponderosa Restaurants. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and loved her grandchildren greatly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gaffey; step-child, Patricia Terrel; and siblings, Ray Palmer, Mary Jo "Jody" Ogden and Betty Vales.
Survivors include two sons, Henry "Rob" Robertson III and Steven E. Robertson; step-children, Thomas Gerald Gaffey, and Barbara Steinhoff; grandchildren, Emily, Brookelyn and Colin Robertson; sister, Carol Burkett; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Entombment will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 10:00am - 2:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
