Zeren Lin, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on August 16, 2025, surrounded by family members, in Wheaton, IL. Born on July 9, 1934, in Fujian, China, Zeren's journey was marked by an unwavering devotion to his family, his faith, and the community he so lovingly served.

Zeren's early years in Fujian were the foundation for a life characterized by hard work, perseverance and compassion. Zeren made many career achievements, and these achievements were not merely professional prides-but also they were reflections of a life lived with purpose, compassion, and an unyielding belief in the power of hard work and integrity. People who knew him would often describe him as the embodiment of warmth and compassion.

He was a loving husband to his wife, Shanzhu Lin, with whom he shared 65 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they raised their daughters, Min and Fang, instilling in them the values of love, hard work, and believing in yourself.

Known as Agong, Zeren's love extended to his grandchildren, Mike, Jack, and Sean. He cherished every moment spent with them and took great pride in them. Zeren's legacy of love and wisdom will undoubtedly live on through them.

As we bid farewell to Zeren Lin, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey completed with grace and dignity. He has left behind a tapestry of memories that will continue to inspire and guide his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His passing, though a solemn moment, is also a time to reflect on the beauty of a life that was full of purpose and the joy of a soul that truly understood the essence of love.

"Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts." He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain a guiding light for his family and all who were touched by his generous heart. Rest in peace, Zeren Lin, your legacy will forever be cherished.
