Sara L. Whelton, age 45, passed away peacefully on the evening of August 11, 2025, with her husband Brendan by her side.

Mother to Patrick, Tommy and Molly, wife to Brendan, daughter of Mike and Judy Perfetti, sister to Annie Sawicki (Steve), Katie Connolly (Jim) and Joe Perfetti (Julie). She was the best Aunt to many nieces and nephews and cousin to many.

Sara was the rock and light of her family, the Perfetti family and all her friends. She will be missed, and not a day will go by without her being remembered for the way she brought happiness and laughter to everyone who knew her.

A celebration of Sara's life will be held on Saturday, August 16 from 9:30am-12:00pm followed by a Memorial Mass at 12 PM at Our Lady of St. Germaine Church (9711 S. Kolin Avenue, Oak Lawn, IL).

Sara will be missed by so many people who knew and loved her. She was taken to heaven much too soon after battling bravely for so long. May God watch over her children, husband, family and friends who supported her all through her journey. May she be at peace now.
