Zhair Eli McQueen, age 16, of
McDonough, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Arthur Blank Hospital.
The world feels a little dimmer without Zhair, he was a beloved son, brother, and friend who left us far too soon. A 10th-grade student at Eagles Landing High School, Zhair was full of life, laughter, and lovea quiet yet animated character who left an unforgettable mark on everyone he met. He was intelligent, dependable, and endlessly kind, always willing to help others without hesitation.
Zhairs passion for wrestling was unmatchedmany would say he was inspired by people like Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, John Cena, and Jake Paul. Whether he was cheering on his favorites or practicing moves of his own, wrestling was more than entertainment to himit was a part of who he was. His love for anime, video games, and his cherished sword collection reflected his adventurous spirit and vibrant imagination. As a kid, he found joy in the common boy things like Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers, reminders of the fun-loving soul he always carried with him.
Zhair was one of a kindfunny, a little shy, but full of personality. If he let you in, you were family. He had a heart so big it made room for everyone who deserved a place in it, and he knew how to keep his distance from anything that wasnt good for him. He was the heartbeat of his family, the one everyone could count on. His love for powdered donuts and honey buns was just one of the little things that made him uniquely Zhair, and his favorite color, Royal Blue, will forever remind us of him.
On February 15, 2025, Zhair suffered a severe asthma attack. By the time help arrived, he had no pulse. He fought so hard. After 14 minutes of CPR, his heartbeat was restored, but the battle was too much. A lack of oxygen caused extreme brain swelling, and on February 18, he was declared brain dead. His family held onto hope, but on February 19, 2025, Zhairs fight came to an end. Even in death, he remained a herodonating his organs so that others could have a second chance at life.
There are no words to fill the space he leaves behind. He was a warrior, a light. Life will never be the same without him, but his love, laughter, and spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
He leaves behind mother and father, Shakeema and Johnny Wiggins; three sisters, Ta-sheema Williams, KaZona McQueen,Alea Wiggins; two big brothers, Keshawn McQueen and Dajohntai Wiggins; and a host of other family and friends
