Deborah Hepler Obituary

Deborah "Debi" Hepler (nee Quincy), died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 17th, 2015 at the age of 60 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Larry, loving daughters, Katie (Mike) Oresar, Emily, Mary Beth, Vanessa (Will) Antolinez and her cherished grandson, Mason. Debi was born on May 9th, 1955 in Downers Grove, to Robert and Mary Quincy. She grew up in Naperville and attended Naperville Central High School and St. Norbert College. Debi married Larry Hepler on November 13th, 1976 in Lisle where the couple lived and raised their three children. Debi, an avid reader, was a driven accounting professional. When diagnosed with lung cancer in 2013, she remained dedicated to her work, her will to fight her illness and most importantly, her daily glass of red wine. She remained a brave, iron-willed woman, even up until the end. Debi is survived by her husband, children, mother, 6 siblings and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Robert and her son Michael, who died in infancy. The family would like to thank the entire oncology staff at Rush University Medical Center for their excellent work and loving care, especially Dr. Philip Bonomi and APN Irene Haapoja. Visitation Sunday, December 20, 2:00-8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville. Services will begin Monday, December 21, 9:15 AM from the funeral home and will proceed to a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 820 Division Street, Lisle, IL. Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville, IL. A luncheon will follow at Seven Bridges Golf Club in Woodridge, all are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Rush University Medical Center for lung cancer research. Please send donations to Rush University Medical Center, 1700 W.
