Barbara Ellsworth, 97, of Tunkhannock, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, at The Gardens at Tunkhannock.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Henry (Hank) Ellsworth in 1999.
Born on Sept. 19, 1926, in Tunkhannock, she is the daughter of the late Glenn and Edna (Honeywell) Inman.
After graduating from Tunkhannock High School in 1944, she embarked on a career working for veterinarian, Dr. John Lopatofsky in Meshoppen. She was a member of the Evans Falls United Methodist Church.
Barbara's personality shone through in her love for giving orders to her beloved son, Billy. As a devoted mother, she always strived to guide her children with affection and care.
Barbara had a remarkable talent for the arts. She expressed her creativity through various artistic endeavors such as painting, sewing, and stain glass creations.
She is survived by her son, William (Billy) Ellsworth.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by daughter, Sherri Ellsworth; brother, Arthur Inman.
Family and friends are invited to attend Barbara's funeral services which will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 10 a.m. from the Sheldon Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga Street, Tunkhannock, with Pastor Tanya Olaviany presiding. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barbara's memory to the Wyoming County Humane Society, P.O. Box 478, Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
