Marilyn Wellons Obituary

It's with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Marilyn Wellons, who left us peacefully on May 30, 2025, surrounded by her family. Marilyn was born on November 20, 1979, in Bristol, Connecticut. She was the daughter of J.C. Wellons and the late Marilyn M. Shepard Wellons. Her son, Jakari Felix, was the light of her life. Her love for him was undeniable, and he meant everything to her. She loved him more than anything in this world. Marilyn is survived by her sisters Cathy Shepard and Lori Shepard, and her brothers Keven Shepard (and his wife Daneen), Michael Shepard, and Chris Shepard (and his wife Kate). She was also a sister to the late Abigail Wellons and Thomas Shepard. She was a proud aunt to Chaz, Michael, and Nikki Shepard; Ryan Darmand; Makayla and Danny Gonzalez; Marilyn Powell and Maxx Shepard; Justin, Emily, and Dayllian Shepard; Ashley Ware; Gia Monteleone; and Tyquon Wellons and Shai Ramos. Her love extended deeply to her great-nieces and nephews, whom she absolutely adored. Marilyn was a firecrackershe was adventurous and never afraid to try new things. She loved to laugh and have a good time; she lit up any room she walked into. She always found a way to bring a smile to someone's face and made everyone feel special. Her kindness and fun-loving spirit made her unforgettable. She had a big heart, and while her life wasn't perfect, she filled it with love and laughter. Marilyn was truly one of a kind, and anyone who knew her has a story or a memory to hold onto. She made a lasting mark on everyone she met. Marilyn is now at peace, but her love, her laughter, and her unforgettable spirit will live on in all of our hearts. Until we meet again.
