Robert LaMarre Obituary
Robert Rob Richard LaMarre Sr., 58, of Thomaston, CT (formerly Plymouth) peacefully passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in New Britain on August 19, 1966, to Linda (Olsen) LaMarre and the late Allen LaMarre. Rob a devoted father, grandfather, and friend, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. From a young age, Rob discovered his talent and passion for construction, launching his own successful business and later lending his experience to BRD Builders in Hartford. His dedication to his craft was evident in every project he touched, but it was his passion for golf that truly defined him. Rob spent countless hours perfecting his swing, driven by a competitive spirit to ensure he was always just a little better than everyone, especially his brothers. Rob had a remarkable ability to light up a room with his sarcastic wit and infectious laugh, bringing joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him. His love for life, boundless wisdom, and unwavering support to those he cared for will leave a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him. Rob is survived by his daughters Samantha Cleveland and her husband Mitchel of Bristol, Alexie LaMarre of Wolcott, and his son Robert LaMarre Jr. of Bristol; his 3 grandchildren, Carsyn and Brooks Cleveland and Walker LaMarre; and his fianc Becky Boucher. He is also survived by his brothers, Fred LaMarre and his wife Doreen of Florida, Scott LaMarre of Terryville, Matthew LaMarre and his wife Cindy of Bristol, and his sister Renee LaMarre of Bristol, as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 16th from 5 7 p.m. at Funks Funeral Home in Bristol. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, January 17th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Bristol.

I am heartbroken to hear about Robbie´s sudden passing. His witty sense of humor and his ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him will always be cherished. My heart goes out to his children-Samantha, Alexis, and Robbie-and to his siblings, Fred, Scott, Renee, and Mathew. As a mother, my heart aches deeply for my sister Linda, and I share in her pain.
