Mitchell Proffitt Obituary
Mitchell Proffitt, age 50, of Parrottsville, went to be with the Lord surrounded by family on Friday, July 7, 2023. He was a member of New Bethel Freewill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by father, Dale Eugene Proffitt; grandparents, Malcome and Estelena Powers and Fred and Mildred Proffitt.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Teresa Gail Proffitt, of Parrottsville; mother, Gaynell Proffitt of Newport; sons, Caleb (Jaycie) Proffitt of Parrottsville, Noah Proffitt of Parrottsville; granddaughter, Scarlet Grace Proffitt; son at heart, Joseph Ledford of Parrottsville; brother, Randy (Kelly) Proffitt of Dandridge; in-laws, Robert and Velma Fox; several nieces, nephews; and other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2023 at Manes Funeral Home with Rev. Willie Winters and Rev. Wayne Dalton officiating. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. prior to funeral service.
In lieu of flowers make donations to New Bethel Freewill Baptist Church, 701-525 Hwy 160, Newport, TN 37821 or West University Baptist Church for Mercy House Ministry, 6218 Auden Street, Houston, TX 77005.
