At last- going home to see my precious sons. Juanita was born on November 26, 1938 in Royal Oak, Michigan to Earl and Raymoth Upton. Graduated from Royal Oak High School. Her biggest desire was to have children. After her marriage to Carl Rubel she gave birth to Randy. Such a beautiful baby, but he was born with Cystic Fibrosis and lived only 5 ½ months. Just five months later she gave birth to Russ and 17 months later Danny. Such bright and beautiful boys but they also suffered with Cystic Fibrosis. Danny lived almost nine years and Russ for 22 years. Her baby, little boy, and young man. Now at last they will be rejoicing together in Heaven. Juanita spent the past 18 wonderful years with her sweetheart husband Leonard. Juanita was an active participant in civic organizations. She was a member of the Halifax Health Auxiliary for nearly 30 years where she volunteered over 6,000 hours of service. In 2016 she was recognized by Halifax Health as "Volunteer of the Year." Juanita also participated in Winning Women for Christ. She leaves her brother Hugh Upton, sister Earlene Herman (Mitchell), nephew Steve Upton, loving nieces Chris Lewis (Ken) and Joanna Foust (Eric), great niece Mandy Parvin (Justin), grand-nephews Dan Lundy (Ary), Michael Upton, Jake Foust, Dax Foust, great-great nieces Lilly Upton and Blake Lundy and step-grandson Ron Defrancisco. Funeral services will be held on December 13 at 3:00 PM at Christ Presbyterian Church, 1035 West Granada Boulevard, Ormond Beach.
