Robert Van Isenbarger, 49 born 8-9-67 died 6-14-17 he was born in central valley, CA to his parents, Horace Van Joseph Isenbarger and Mildred Ann Isenbarger. He spent his early childhood in Alabama, Georgia, Melbourne and his whole adult life in Port Orange, FL. He had many different careers and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a wonderful chef and driving his Harley Davidson was his passion, he also had fun doing some stand up comedy around town and was once a professional wedding photographer. He was also a wonderful bartender who performed magic tricks for patrons. He was a 1986 graduate of Spruce Creek High School were he was on their wrestling team, and captain of creek's snow ski team. He is survived by his daughter Anna Rose Isenbarger, his beloved brother, Joe Isenbarger and his sister Sheri Isenbarger and too many aunts, uncles and cousins to list. He is also survived by his long time companion Cathy Kollmer and was a big influence raising her three sons, Ben, Alex and Greg Kollmer, and too many close friends to name. He always had a smile on his face and loved telling his tale tales. He will be greatly missed. His memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 20th at Houligans private room on Dunlawton Rd in Port Orange from 5:30 until 8:30pm.

Things have been so tough lately with him gone. Even though I spent most of my life without him, he was such a good person. I've been missing him a lot lately, and I play his and my moms' wedding song on repeat as i cry my heart out. Since I don't have any siblings that share the same dad, I can't relate with anyone the feeling of losing a father. He used to tell me stories of how he was in a biker gang with small people and it used to make me laugh. He also showed me a picture of me eating green chalk when i was little, it's embedded in my memory. I miss the days when we sat at my elementary school and ate lunch together. I know that he tried his hardest to see me whenever he could. Even though my mom and him weren't married, they still had a bond and laughed together. My mom would let him babysit me and my sister while she was at work. We had so much fun. He took me ice skating for the first time as well, I wish we could have more memories like that. All my friends tell me how mean their dads were and all I can do is brag about how fun and goofy mine was. If he were still here, I can only imagine how much better my life would be.

Robert,
Brother, I will miss our motorcycle and Deltona rides to pick up Joe. Chinese food. The times we used to go "shoot for shots" and ride out to see the horses. We spent many hours playing rock band and carousing until the early morning daylight. Camping and martial arts trips back in the day. Savannah and Fantasy Fest events... So many memories.

There are many, many stories that would quite frankly fill people with tears of laughter if they knew some of the things that I know about you, my friend. You once said you did not want to go out like a recently deceased friend. To suffer, knowing your fate while looking at peoples faces and seeing the pity upon them. I am happy for you that you got that dying wish, albeit way too soon. It was also great to know that you have touched so many people in your life. Houligan's overflowed with the outpouring of friends and family that showed up to pay respects.

You will be greatly missed.

Robert, you went way to soon I would have liked to tell you I enjoyed your company, your humor and your dedication to Cathy. I will miss you and think of you with a smile and fond memories. I am saddened that I won't see you and knowing you still had so much life to live. Thank you for always being by Cats side and helping in her recovery. She loved you very much and you were always a big part of her life so for that I am grateful you watched over her while here on earth and I know it will continue in heaven. Rest in Peace Big Guy no worries in heaven well until me and Cat meet up with you once again.
