John Cansfield Obituary


Obituary

John H. Cansfield, 72, of Cape Coral died Tuesday May 1, 2007 at his home. He was born June 12, 1934 in Bay City, MI to his parents Arthur and Florence Cansfield. John graduated from T. L. Handy High School in Bay City, MI in 1952. He later earned his Doctorate Degree from Michigan State University. He served his country honorably in Korea War with the U.S. Army. John worked as an Administrator and Counselor at Lansing Community College from where he retired in 1977. He moved to Cape Coral in 1999.

Survivors include his wife Gene Ann Cansfield of Cape Coral, children Jenifer (Stephen) McNulty of Bloomfield, MI, Timothy Cansfield of Eagle, MI. Step children Manny (Diane) Ziegler of Atlanta, GA and Kelly (Regina) Ziegler of Nashville, TN, one grandchild Christian McNulty, six step grandchildren Zack, Hannah, Zane, Rebecca, Grant, and Wyatt Ziegler and his brother in law Kenneth Price of Rochester Hills, MI.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice. Arrangements by the Metz Chapel of Harvey-Engelhardt-Metz Funeral Homes and Crematory, Cape Coral.
