I had the good fortune to meet Mike aboard the USS IOWA. He was larger then life, full of energy, friendly, great sense of humor, and a true PATRIOT. He was an asset to the Navy, BB61 and the "Chief's Mess". He was going into the 2nd half of his "Dash" which ended far to soon, and I was hard pressed to keep up with. We managed to interact a few times later on and I will cherish those memories. I asked his opinion of an off road adventure we took in Colorado: "It was different". Makes me smile!
