Jeremy Scott Merricks, age 48 of Brookneal, passed away on August 15, 2025, in Louisa, VA. He was the son of the David M. Merricks of Brookneal and the late Margaret Younger Merricks of Tennessee.
Jeremy was born on December 29, 1976, in Chattanooga, TN.
In addition to his mother, Margaret Young Merricks, he was preceded in death by his son, Willie Scott Merricks; and grandfather, David Lee Merricks.
He is survived by his daughter, Allison Nicole Merricks of Scottsville; father, David M. Merricks, and wife, Lynn of Brookneal; grandparents, Lesley and Pat Young of Sod, TN, and Annie R. Merricks of Brookneal; many cousins and family.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Gladys with visitation one hour prior to the service. Condolences may be expressed at www.JeffressFuneralHome.com.
